I quit my job

I am an Assistant Principal at a high school in North Carolina and I turned in my notice today. In 30 days I won't have to come to this job where I dread coming to each morning.
In 32 days, I get to go to a new high school in a different area which will be a much nicer place to work.
I am lucky to be able to do that. I was getting myself physically sick coming to work.

I still miss my dog unbearably sometimes.

I read your previous post and my heart aches for you. The stress of the loss, and the rotten job have surely taken their toll and I hope for brighter tomorrows.

I'm ready to see January "done and dusted"- and while not wanting to wish my life away- I don't ever remember being so ready for Spring.
Of course...I'll turn 40 in May- not that 39 was a fairy-ball-princess party! It was not.

I hope the new job (and the new year) will be "all that" and more. I send you my very best as you get through the next 30 days ♥

Thanks Mayden...
I'd give anything to be 40 again. I don't like wishing my life away either, but there is a lot of stress finishing up everything here too. I hope this year will be better than last.
One of my former students said "Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The farther you get in to it, the faster it turns."

Fresh beginnings...

Hey Fingers,
I have a new job, new beginning, but can't bring myself to find another dog just yet. I'm sure there are some dogs that are just as good as Buddy, but I think my chances of finding one are slim.
I'm sure I'll find one though.
