The first picture was taken by a buddy as we were flying over Asheville, NC at about 8500' and 180MPH heading home. The second one is me showing out at a Fly-In in Tennessee. (I'm quite a ways from the camera.)
That's quite a ways to go for a birthday. I-40 is closed, but I think it's West of Asheville due to a big rock slide. Check the NCDOT before you head this way. The Biltmore House is pretty amazing.
Thank you for the heads-up about I40. I heard there was a rock slide on the nc/tn border, but I do think it's west of the Tunnel Rd exit, but I will check to be sure. Asheville's only about 4 hours from here and I wanted to do something special and unique for her. She will love it :)
As for the spider thing- I left you a note...but I wanted to say that you know more than you give yourself credit for. Love, compassion, and conscience are big components of my life. Despite whatever pain, or difficulties I am working through- I wouldn't change anything...except I need to put less value on what other people think- and be a little more compassionate and loving towards myself. Hope you enjoy your weekend :)
I've been everywhere and done everything. You can check out some of what I've done on my portfolio page if you want to. I am an assistant principal at a high school. I Finished my masters degree in school administration a couple of years ago and now I am what they call an administrator. Not that I originally aspired to become a principal, but when I retire from the school system in 10 or 11 yrs, it will make a significant difference in my retirement benefits.
Bad Bob came from a racing team years ago. Everyone called me Bad Bob. It came from the "Life and Times of the Judge Roy Bean" starring Paul Newman.
It's where they introduce "Bad Bob", "The Original Bad Bob, not Dirty Bad Bob from New Mexico."
I make the best margaritas ever!
